Does this site work on your website browser?
Monday 20 July 2009
|
I was sent an email by soemone the other day who implied that by using IE, and I have IE7, that I was not using a modern browser and so that was why I couldn`t access their website properly.
Does it really matter? Surely you build your website for everyone to use if you want business.
Does this website work for you?
If you`re a technogenius - what is your input on this matter?

1 IE is the most widely used browser.
It is very important to keep your browser fully up to date, as new features are added all the time, and some times, older browser versions just don`t have the functionality to show you the content.
IE 7 is not obsolete though, and will work with 99% of all websites.
IE 8 is the later version that can be used.
Firefox 3.0 - 3.5 is a good alternative.
Something else that is interesting to take note of, is that some developers, during development, only test their websites using one specific browser, when in fact they should be testing using all the well known internet browsers such as:
IE 7, IE 8, Firefox 2, Firefox 3, Safari, Chrome and Opera.
A badly coded website will only work in one specific browser.
